Is everything at Halal Grills halal?
Yes. Every item on the Halal Grills menu is 100% halal, including the barbecue catfish, grilled chicken, dodo (fried plantain), coleslaw, house sauce and chips. Only halal-slaughtered chicken and halal ingredients come into the kitchen.
Do you deliver to Unilorin?
Yes. Halal Grills delivers to the University of Ilorin main campus, including the hostels, as well as Tanke, Oke-Odo, Fate, GRA, Basin, Adewole, Taiwo, Challenge and Sango. The delivery fee depends on the area and is shown at checkout.
How do I order Halal Grills online?
Add dishes to your bag, choose pickup or delivery, pick your area, and place the order. Nothing is charged online. We then message you on WhatsApp to confirm the order, and you pay by transfer, POS or cash when you collect or when the rider arrives.
How will I know my order has been received?
Right after you order online, Halal Grills sends a WhatsApp message to the number you gave, with your order details. Reply to confirm, or to change anything. Make sure the number you enter is the one you use on WhatsApp.
Can I pre-order food for a party or event?
Yes. Party platters such as the Catfish Party Tray and the Mixed Grill Feast can be pre-ordered with at least 24 hours' notice. Pick a date and time at checkout and the platter is grilled fresh for that slot — good for birthdays, Eid, owambe, office lunches and hostel get-togethers.
Can I schedule a regular order for later?
Yes. At checkout choose "Schedule" instead of "As soon as possible" and pick any 30-minute slot during opening hours, today or up to a week ahead.
What is the barbecue catfish?
The barbecue catfish is a whole fresh catfish grilled over open charcoal and basted in a sweet, peppery barbecue glaze, served with a wedge of lemon. It is the most-ordered dish at Halal Grills.
What are the opening hours of Halal Grills?
Halal Grills in Ilorin is open 7 days a week from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM for dine-in, pickup and delivery.
Can you make it less spicy, or more?
Yes. Add a note at checkout and the kitchen will adjust the pepper level, leave out an allergen or add extra house sauce.
